My little bro has finally bitten the bullet and after 6 months of owning his SS Commodore and having to listen to me peel out of the driveway and up the hill in mine with a Walkinshaw W310 pack, decided to get one fitted.

So what does this pack get him?

2.5 in catback exhaust.

Headers.

CAI

ECU tune.

Some pretty badges.

A boost from 270kw to 310kw at the flywheel, and from 450 Nm of torque up to 550 Nm.

That’s 415hp and 427 ft lb in old money.

All he needs now is an Oppo sticker.

$6k...yes it’s fucking expensive. But you’re paying for the name and the badges.

Harrop will do the same package with their gear for around $4k.

I really do try to forget the GTO. For personal reasons, I guess. As a Pontiac GTO lover from wayyyyy back. I just could never embrace the GTO from you guys. Just wasn’t a GTO in my mind.

Don’t get me wrong, you guys have some absolutely awesome cars. I just did not like the fact that they tried, in a last ditch effort, to do something that would sustain the Pontiac name. But they should have done it in a way that would have been better in the mainstream lineup. It was not particularly eye-catching and everyone knew it was an OZ car in disguise. To pass it off as a GTO was not a smart move. IMO

I see it now. I’ve never seen a clear one before, I thought it was one of those skins for paint protection and couldn’t figure out why it would have tabs.
